Poor Little Jackson

The little man is sick with RSV. We went into the doctors yesterday, Jackson was raspy when he was breathing and he tested positive. He is contagious for the next week so no being around little babies. We have to do breathing treatments every four hours to help his lungs. He wasn't too sure of it at first but is true Jackson style he was smiling and talking by the end. Love you buddy!

Our New Little Ones

Well, we did it, or should I say I talked Joe into doing it? :) We got two little chicks. They are so cute and furry and the girls just love them. The best part is they decided without any arguing who gets which one! These little guys (well we hope they are girls) will live in a lighted box in the garage for the next 6 weeks before they are moved to a chicken coop in the backyard. After that we should start getting an egg a day from each of them around September. We are very excited to learn about these little guys and the girls already love feeding them! If any of the CO kids want to come see them, feel free to head over!

Way to go Emily!

On Friday we were invited to an assembly honoring Emily as Student of the Month. The quality for this month was honestly. Each teacher was asked to select one or two students who exemplified that quality. We are so proud of her and so thankful for teachers who take time to spotlight children. Emily was so excited! Lizzy, Jackson and I surprised her at the assembly and we celebrated with lunch afterwards. Way to go Emily!

Happy Valentine's!

Poor Joe pulled out his back and so the kids and I decided to go get rid of some Valentine energy yesterday. There is a new bounce place called "Everyday Birthday" nearby so off we went. They had a really great time. Next time I think we will go for a weekday though :).

Car dealerships are fun???

On Friday we had to go to Colorado Springs to take the van in for some certification things and they said it would be about 2 1/2 hours. So what was a mom and 3 kids to do? Head to Chuck E Cheese of course! They were so nice and shuttled us over for an afternoon of fun. When we were done, we just gave them a buz and they were back to pick us up. How wonderful! The girls had a great time, it has been quite awhile since we have been to one. We packed a lunch and used their birthday token coupons which made it twice as fun because we hardly spent anything.

One of the funniest (and just lizzy like moments) was when I looked over and saw Lizzy riding in this little truck and then she leaned over and kissed the statue next to her! Thankfully I was just getting ready to snap a shot, she is going to love this one when she gets older! Just cracks me up that girl!

On Saturday we took a drive over to the lake and went to the Hatchery. Then over to the Visitors Center for Eagle Day. The girls got to see a golden eagle up close, boy was it beautiful! There were other stations where they also got to see 2 falcons, a toad, hissing cocroaches and fish. It was a wonderful Saturday!

Gotta Love Family...

Since we have lived in Colorado we have seen family more then any other place we have lived, why didn't we move here first ;D. Nana and Papa left this morning and we miss them already! Thank you for coming to visit and we can't wait to see you all in May!
I also had to add my new favorite picture of Jackson. He was playing in his saucer while Nana and Lizzy were coloring and has figured out folding his arms. Just too cute..

Emily turns 6!

The year is flying by and my little girl is getting so big! Yesterday was Emily's 6th Birthday. She had an amazing day with french toast for breakfast with her Nana and Papa and being the leader at school. Pal Bear got to come home with her and enjoy her birthday afternoon. She chose a Scooby Doo cake and of course some friends dropped by to wish her a Happy Birthday. We love you sweetie, Happy Birthday!!!

A New Addition...

The Explorer did its best and we loved it for 7 years but it was time to say goodbye. The fact that the transmission was going out really was just and after thought, lol...

We are now officially mini-van owners. There is so much room in these it is so nice!!! It is also so nice how quiet it is. So I need to say a thank you to Joe who swallowed all his desires for a Jeep and let me get the van. Thank you honey!

Lizzy turns 4!

Can you believe it, Lizzy is now 4 years old and still as creative and zainy as ever. This was the year of family celebrations. She chose a Little Mermaid cake that took quite a while to frost but turned out pretty cute. Some friends stopped by to surprise her and it was a really great night for her. What a big girl you are now, we love you Lizzy!

A Day of Fun...

Well as you can see I have gotten a little behind on my posting so I will have to backtrack a little...

Over New Year's we went north to Evergreen, CO to visit family. Poor Emily got sick during the trip with strep throat which turned in scarlet fever. The poor girl missed out on a lot of fun on the trip so we agreed to take her back up for another round.

Thanks to our wonderful family we did it! A whirlwind trip with a night at Aunt Pam's and Uncle George's. The morning was gorgeous and we went ice skating, over to Mr. Biggs and to an amazing restaurant "Casa Bonita" with cliff divers and all. They had an amazing time and we got to spend the day with their cousins Megan and Maddie. Thank you to all for such a great day!!
