We were given many thoughtful gifts after the passing of Noelle. One plant in particular has been our favorite. It bloomed shortly after we received it and over these last 7 years has not bloomed again. What an amazing future she must be having...

Her Own Unique Style

Everyone knows that Lizzy has her own special style. Each night she requests the same pair of dinosaur jammies and if she were to find them clean from the laundry she can be stripped and changed before you have a chance to blink. :) Well Joe was outside with the girls flying kites when Lizzy disappeared into the house to get more appropriately dressed. Her new favorite day outfit, the pink shirt and pink shirt along with her beloved green jacket (she couldn't find the matching hat so she settled on something else). Mind you it was at least 60 outside with a warm wind.

Just so you know how much fun we were having with it, I used a slinky monkey with white hair, pink dress and prison bars behind her to invite Joe on a date! LOL, hopefully he will get a good laugh when he checks his email!

Maybe Next Time...

Last night we decided to take the girls fishing at the local pond for Family Home Evening. It is setup for kids 15 and younger to fish at. The girls were so excited. Emily was all set with her Barbie fishing pole and Lizzy had her Princess one. We spent about an hour there but didn't have any luck. A little girl down a ways caught one so the girls played with it for a little while along with all the dogs that walked by. It was a fun night and I was amazed at how patient Emily was. She would have sat there much longer if we would have stayed.

Saturday was Emily's first practice with the "Cougars". She was a little tentative at first but started to warm up later on. The coach was just awesome too! Can you believe she is so grown-up? Lizzy played on the sidelines with her little ball and some boys she found to befriend.

Nurse Emily

Since last Friday Miss Lizzy and I have been sick to varying degrees. Well yesterday was a pretty yucky day for me and Dad gave Emily the charge to take good care of mom and Lizzy. I awake from a nap to my nurse saying, "lunch is ready mom!". I wanted to get up, I really did but fell back asleep only to hear, "mom, isn't your tummy hungry?". Who could resist that sweet little girl.

First my nurse tried for PB & J but the lids got the best of her...

So what else sounded good? Nothing but the best for her mom. What an awesome daughter!
